Barb's Mission

As an artist living in the Foothills of the Sierras I want to capture the beauty of the landscape by direct observation. I love being outdoors where all my senses are involved. The more attentive I am and the longer I remain in a landscape setting the more I am enthralled by its grandeur. I feel a certain solace and spiritual harmony with nature.

Everything in nature seems to have special rhythm, beauty and balance.

As an artist I am always looking for and longing for the right scene that leaves me breathless and really feeling its awe; and to render its essence rather than an exhaustive description.
